A Columbia man has been indicted for first degree murder, for the March shooting death of his father on Pinecrest drive. That’s west of Brown Station road. A Boone County grand jury has indicted 21-year-old Samuel Brotherton for first degree murder and armed criminal action. The indictment, which was unsealed on Friday, replaces earlier charges.
