Columbia firefighters say no injuries are reported in Tuesday evening’s residential structure fire near I-70 Drive Southeast, near I-70’s Lake of the Woods exit.

Columbia firefighters have posted photos of the blaze on its Twitter page. The home is a total loss. Columbia firefighters say the fire remains under investigation.

Fire chief Clayton Farr tells our news partner KMIZ that water supply was a challenge for firefighters, because CFD doesn’t have fire hydrants that are necessarily close. The chief describes the building as a residential structure that was “partly a log cabin.”
