Icy roads causes numerous mid-Missouri schools to close on Friday

Mid-Missouri’s largest school district, Columbia Public Schools (CPS), has a two-hour late start on Friday morning. CPS spokeswoman Michelle Baumstark notes this is being done for safety reasons and to allow buses to navigate routes with daylight. Baumstark says that means buses will pick up students two hours later than their normal pick-up time. Meantime, …
