Question Marks Are For Questions

People are incorrectly using question marks at an alarming rate!

I don’t care if this makes me sound old.  It has to be said.  Stop using questions marks at the end of statements!

At least once a day, I’ll get a text message saying something like, “I think it’s in Fulton?”  This is not a question, therefore, does not need a question mark.

All I can think of is Ron Burgundy from “Anchorman” when I read these messages.
