Help keep families facing eviction in their homes this Christmas season with Love Columbia!
Love Columbia’s CoMO Gives campaign is going on now! Love Columbia has set a goal of raising $150,000 to help families facing eviction stay in their homes.
They’ve teamed up with Veterans United Foundation, QuesTec Mechanical, and other local businesses committed to helping people in need. You can help too!
“Families have never been under more pressure,” said Jane Williams, co-founder and executive director of Love Columbia. “With rent prices in Columbia increasing 26% since the pandemic, many are struggling to stay housed. We could not be more grateful to Veterans United Foundation, QuesTec Mechanical and many other incredible community partners for stepping in to prevent evictions this winter. Their generosity will undoubtedly have generational impact as family life will continue without disruption and children will remain in their familiar schools and neighborhoods,” said Williams.
“Having a warm, safe place to call home is so important, and it breaks my heart to know that during the holiday season there are so many of our neighbors unsure if they’ll even have a home to be in with their loved ones,” said Erika Pryor, Veterans United Foundation manager. “The employees of Veterans United are proud to contribute to Love Columbia’s campaign through CoMoGives this year and we wholeheartedly encourage others to get involved as they can,” she added.
“QuesTec has been abundantly blessed working throughout the community of Columbia for many years,” said David Boyd, president of QuesTec Mechanical. “Through our donation, the blessings we have received, and that our great employees have made possible, are able to go back into our community to help our neighbors right now. We recognize that many of our neighbors are not as fortunate and have real needs to meet today. It is an honor to partner with Love Columbia to make sure families stay housed, warm, and together this year. We ask other businesses and individuals to join our team and help CoMOGives and Love Columbia reach and exceed their goals!”
