New fire station coming to Columbia, near Scott Boulevard

Columbia’s city council has voted to authorize construction of a fire station near Scott Boulevard and state Route K, in the Deerfield Ridge subdivision. The council approved the measure at Monday night’s meeting. The $2.5 million fire station is being funded by the voter-approved capital improvement sales tax extension. Columbia council to hear concerns about speeding on Worley, and about sidewalks in Greek Town

Columbia’s city council will hear testimony Monday evening from a resident who’s worried about speeding along Worley. Lillian Davis will address the council this evening.
