Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe is Missouri’s acting governor, with Governor Mike Parson on an overseas trade mission to Japan. Acting Governor Kehoe, on behalf of Governor Parson, has ordered that the Capitol dome in Jefferson City shine blue and white this weekend, starting tomorrow evening. Parson and Kehoe have issued a joint statement about what’s happed in Israel. It reads, in part: “The barbarism committed by Iran-backed Hamas terrorists has now claimed the lives of more than 1,200 people and 22 Americans, including one Missourian, in Israel. We mourn these innocent lives lost and pray for all those who have fallen victim to this merciless terror.” Acting Governor Kehoe tells listeners that we are seeing evil live, adding that what Israel has gone through is “hell on earth.” He also discussed the Buy Missouri program on “Wake Up.” Buy Missouri has more than 550 members:

Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his family are heading to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, after the Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35 in the Super Bowl.
Kansas City wins its second Super Bowl in four seasons. The Eagles led 24-14 at halftime and 27-21 in the fourth quarter. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had three touchdown throws for the Chiefs, earning the Super Bowl MVP award.
The Missouri Capitol dome in Jefferson City shined red and gold all weekend, under an order from Governor Mike Parson (R). The governor and First Lady Teresa Parson traveled to Arizona to see the game, purchasing their own tickets. Governor Parson has won a friendly wager with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (D), who was born in Kansas City. The two governors met this weekend, before the game.
Governor Parson describes the Chiefs as Missouri’s team, saying they’ve made Missourians proud time and time again.
Missouri Chamber of Commerce president Dan Mehan has also won a friendly bet with his Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce counterpart, Luke Bernstein. Mr. Bernstein is sending Yuengling beer, Hershey’s chocolate, Peeps marshmallow candies and Giorgi mushrooms to Mr. Mehan.
“One of the finest assets we ever received from Pennsylvania is Coach Andy Reid,” Mr. Mehan says.

Missouri’s Capitol dome to be lit red and gold tonight
Jefferson City-area motorists and people heading to the Lake of the Ozarks will notice the State Capitol dome shining red and gold starting tonight, under an order from the governor to celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl appearance.
The Chiefs are making their third Super Bowl appearance in four years.
Governor Mike Parson’s spokeswoman, Kelli Jones, tells 939 the Eagle that the Capitol dome will be red and gold tonight. The governor is predicting a 30-27 Chiefs Super Bowl win, saying Arizona hasn’t ever seen heat like this.
