Columbia’s Solid Waste Utility will decide this (Friday) morning whether or not it’s safe enough for trash trucks to go into residential areas. Thursday’s winter storm forced the cancelation of residential trash collection in Columbia. The freezing rain and snow was a major issue. Thursday’s residential routes will not be collected this week.
