The Dove Gives Back: Be The Light
Human trafficking is a $32 billion industry, more than any other industry, including drugs. There is no stereotypical victim of this, it can be anyone, anywhere. The average age of a human trafficking victim is just twelve years old.
Lives are at stake, as a person stuck in human trafficking can be bought and sold multiple times a day. It’s time for you to Be The Light and bring human trafficking victims out of the darkness.
On Sunday, April 8th, Be The Light is offering free training and education on human trafficking at Columbia United Church of Christ. The training is from 3:00pm-4:30pm, and you’ll need to RSVP by Friday, April 6th by emailing april.bethelight@gmail.com.
If you’d like to get involved on a more permanent basis, check out Be The Light’s website.
